We're so excited to announce that we’re launching the official Ground, Nourish, Breathe community platform! It will be much more expansive and interactive than what we’re able to provide here on Substack, and is designed to offer more in-depth support for folks who want it.
We’ll be kicking off with a free, online launch party & live group coaching session on August 7 at 7:30 pm EDT.
Come hang out with us and do some grounding together, ask us your health questions and receive coaching, and learn more about our new GNB membership community. Everyone who registers to attend will be entered to win one of two 1:1 coaching sessions with Robin or Cait (your choice!).
I often keep Breathe practices to nervous system work only: in fact, most of my GNB contributions don’t integrate my biomechanical chops as a pelvic floor therapist!
But there’s a time and a place, and often, an intersection between biomechanics and nervous system regulation. I believe that breathing into the posterior thoracic rib cage can be one of them.
Lots of people are restricted in this area. Whether it’s due to engrained breathing patterns or more than ideal sitting time (hint: this is a huge majority of folks!), it can be tricky to access this spot. I find that using a light theraband can be incredibly helpful to build awareness and feedback here!
And it feels so dang good in the nervous system.
I hope you enjoy it!
